Loris Azzaro founded the Azzaro fashion house in Paris during the 1960s, bringing a glamorous Mediterranean influence to clothing and accessories before the brand expanded into fragrance. Azzaro Pour Homme, launched in 1978, became one of its defining scents, combining aromatic herbs, anise, lavender, woods and warm base notes in a traditional masculine fougère style.

Azzaro Chrome introduced a much fresher direction in the 1990s. Its citrus, aromatic and musky profile helped establish Chrome as a major fragrance family, later expanding through numerous interpretations that explore aquatic, woody and more intense variations while retaining the clean character associated with the original.

More recent lines such as Wanted and The Most Wanted take Azzaro into a sweeter and more concentrated style of men’s fragrance. Warm spices, amber woods, vanilla and richer aromatic notes give these scents a noticeably different character from the brand’s earlier classics, showing how Azzaro has continued to develop its fragrance identity across changing tastes.
